Additional Details: As snow and gusty winds wind down following
Monday's storm system, another storm system will approach the west
coast of Alaska. Snow and gusty winds are expected to develop
beginning early Tuesday morning and continue through Wednesday
morning before slowly tapering off.
For Kotzebue, elevated water levels are possible along the coast
Tuesday night through Wednesday morning as winds shift to the
northwest. Surge, combined with these winds, will likely push water
through cracks in the ice and along the coast. Water levels will
subside by Wednesday afternoon.
